ABSTRACTED
Art that thinks outside the lines
Abstract Art does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect.
This term we will explore and experiment with abstract ideas and mark making, using a variety of techniques, tools and materials. Through the exploration of the work and process of a number of abstract artists, children will develop their own ideas and styles, gaining confidence in this way of working and creating a number of beautiful 3D and 2D abstract works.
Term 1's after school focus will extend children who feel comfortable with drawing and give confidence and skills to children who are not so sure.
